Dr. Habayeb is Syracuse Native and is graduate of Christian Brothers Academy followed by Syracuse University. She received her BSN from D’Youville University in Buffalo, worked as an RN on a medsurg unit at St. Joseph’s hospital and relocated to Washington D.C for her masters in Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. Shortly after the NP program, she was accepted into a primary care nurse practitioner residency program at the Washington D.C VA. After the residency program, she was hired in the geriatric outpatient clinic where she worked as an NP for several years. She eventually switched roles and became the clinic coordinator and clinical faculty for the primary care residency program. She completed her doctorate in nursing practice (DNP), and relocated back to Syracuse to raise her children and be apart of the Syracuse community which is very important to her.

William Barnett was a faculty member at Le 91心頭利嫋 from 1977 to 2005. During that time, he taught religious studies in the history of Christianity, American religions, American Catholicism, historical theology (Protestant and Catholic), Asian religions, religion and science, and religion and American public policy. He also served as Chair of the Department of Religious Studies (1981-84, 2001-02), President of the Le 91心頭利嫋 College Faculty Senate (1982-83), Dean of Studies (1989-93), and Academic Vice President (1993-96). As AVP, he supervised the creation of graduate programs in Business Administration, Education, and Physician Assistant Studies. After retiring from Le 91心頭利嫋, he served as Dean of Graduate Studies (2011-16) at Trinity College (Hartford, CT). He holds degrees from Wabash College (A.B.), Southern Methodist University (M.Div.), and the University of Chicago (A.M., Ph.D.). He and his spouse, Jenny, now live in Raleigh, NC.

Bryan Dunlap is a life-long Central New Yorker who has been a music educator for 25 years. Originally from Baldwinsville, he received his Bachelor���s Degree from Ithaca College where he served as the Director and Administrator for the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia/Ithaca College Pep Band.

Bryan has served as a band director at all levels of public school instruction, including jazz and competitive marching band. He currently serves as a middle school band director in the East Syracuse Minoa Central School District where he directs the 120-student sixth grade band, the Pine Grove Middle School Jazz Ensemble, and also conducts the pit orchestra for Spartan Stage at ESM Central High School. Many of Bryan���s students have gone on to participate in NYSSMA Conference All-State, receive local and national citations, and also pursue careers as music educators and performers.

As a performer, Bryan has studied saxophone for nearly forty years and has had the pleasure of performing both as a soloist and alongside many local and national jazz and rock artists. An accomplished woodwind doubler, he enjoys the challenge of ���juggling instruments��� and has performed in over one hundred scholastic and professional/regional theater productions.

Bryan resides in Syracuse with his wife and four children. He enjoys cooking and the outdoors, and can rarely be found without a cup of coffee within arm���s reach.

Dr. Chin (Ph.D., 1983, the University of Michigan) is a Professor of Sociology at Le 91心頭利嫋 College. He is a Carnegie National Scholar, a program of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. He is the past-editor of Teaching Sociology, an official journal of the American Sociological Association, and currently serves on the Editorial Board. He is a sociologically-trained social psychologist specializing in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. He has published four books and over two dozen scholarly articles, essays, chapters, and reviews. He is Secretary-Treasurer of Alpha Kappa Delta, the international honor society for sociology. He is a member of the American Sociological Association’s Department Resources Group, a group of consultants trained to serve as external reviewers. He has performed over 50 program reviews for schools around the country. He is also a certification reviewer for the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

With a career that has included work as an arts and higher education administrator, musician, and faculty member, Dr. Travis Newton serves as Dean of the Carroll College of Arts and Sciences at Le 91心頭利嫋 College in Syracuse, NY.

Previously, he served as director of the Le 91心頭利嫋 College music program, leading the program through a period of renewal and growth. He also founded the College���s undergraduate and graduate arts administration programs, successfully preparing students for careers at such varied not-for-profit institutions as the Manhattan School of Music, the San Diego Zoo, the National Museum for African American Music, Barrington Stage, and Cornell University.

Prior to his current role as interim Dean, Travis served as associate professor and chair of the department of visual and performing arts, facilitating the work of dozens of faculty and hundreds of students to further integrate the arts into the culture of the Le 91心頭利嫋 College campus, and to engage with the broader Syracuse community.

Dr. Newton���s research is focused on orchestra management and the relationship between professional symphony orchestras and their communities. In 2022, Oxford University Press published his Orchestra Management Handbook. His work has also been published in the Journal of Arts Management, Law & Society, American Journal of Arts Management, Artivate: A Journal of Entrepreneurship in the Arts, and book chapters published by Routledge and Oxford University Press, including a co-authored chapter in The Oxford Handbook of Arts and Cultural Management. Dr. Newton previously served as an officer of the Association of Arts Administration Educators Board of Directors and as a board member of Classical Kids Music Education, and he currently serves on the board of the Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music, as well as Social Theory, Politics, & the Arts (STP&A).

As an arts administrator, his previous experience includes serving as Operations Director of The Florida Orchestra in Tampa Bay, managing the 74-member orchestra’s daily operations,
including approximately 200 rehearsals and concerts each season. Travis also served in numerous roles at the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, including Operations Manager, Education Manager, and Director of Community Engagement.

Travis has played and conducted more than 500 performances of Broadway musicals across the U.S. and Canada as well as multiple guest conducting appearances with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and Central New York’s professional orchestra, The Syracuse Orchestra (formerly Symphoria). He is a frequent guest conductor of all-county and area all-state orchestras, and has performed as section violinist with the orchestras of Syracuse, Charleston and Greensboro, as well as the Eastern Philharmonic Orchestra at Eastern Music Festival, where he previously served as a faculty member. He is also the co-creator of Kafka’s Metamorphosis: The Musical! With Puppets!, which has received dozens of performances, including the New York Musical Festival and a recent month-long run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The GRAMMY-winning label Broadway Records released a recording of the show, produced by Dr. Newton, in July 2019.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in music performance (violin) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, an MBA from Le 91心頭利嫋 College, and a Ph.D. in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Stacey J. Buck joined the Le 91心頭利嫋 College Education Department in Fall 2025 as a full-time faculty member. Prior to joining Le 91心頭利嫋, she taught in public education for 15 years serving students in a variety of special education settings including resources, special day class, home instruction, and co-teaching, in addition to providing itinerant vision services. Stacey is a National Board Certified Teacher Exceptional Needs Specialist and an ACVREP Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS). Stacey has been a math subject matter expert item writer for the Dynamic Learning Maps Consortium alternate assessment since 2018.

Stacey is passionate about leveraging assistive technology to increase access, engagement, and meaningful learning opportunities for all students. Her research interests include vision impairment, low incidence disabilities, alternate assessment, curriculum, and assistive technology. She currently serves on the board for the Council for Exceptional Children’s Division on Visual Impairments and Deafblindness.
