Club Spotlight: Environmental Sustainability
The Environmental Sustainability Club at Le 91心頭利嫋 College is dedicated to protecting and preserving the planet we all call home. Focused on eco-conscious living and environmental responsibility, the club leads initiatives that promote a healthier Earthfrom campus-wide recycling programs to hands-on community service events focused on conservation and sustainability.
Whether youre passionate about climate change, reducing waste, or just want to make a positive impact, Environmental Sustainability Club gives you the tools, knowledge, and community to take action.
Going Green. Going Places.
One of the club’s favorite adventures is heading to EcoVillage in Ithaca for a day of exploring organic farming, green building, sustainable communities and healthy living.
Id love to see more projects that involve planting diverse, native trees around campus to support biodiversity.” – Haylee
“Getting to go birding with everyone was great. We saw 14 eagles that day!” – Lucy
The club doesn’t let the weather slow them down, taking advantage of a snowy day to visit Onondaga Lake for a bald eagle walk with Professor Jason Luscier.
The hike itself in the Pharsalia Woods was great but the best part was we ran into a large group of Red-spotted Newts on the trail! They were so small and their coloration was gorgeous. I was glad to share the moment with everyone. – Haylee
“It was fun hanging out with everyone at Tinker Woods and the view was amazing from the top of the waterfall.” – Elyse
“During one of our community cleanups in the Salt Springs neighborhood, neighbors stopped to thank us for taking the time to care for the Earth.”
