The agreement creates a direct path for Le 91心頭利嫋 undergraduates to pursue UBs nationally ranked PharmD program

Le 91心頭利嫋 College and the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (UB SPPS) have established a new academic affiliation, designed to prepare motivated undergraduate students for advanced study in pharmacy while helping meet the regions growing need for health care professionals.

Through the agreement, qualified Le 91心頭利嫋 students can pursue a 3+4 program that enables them to earn a bachelors degree from Le 91心頭利嫋 and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from UB in seven years, one year sooner than the traditional pathway.

Le 91心頭利嫋 is excited to partner with the University at Buffalo to help address the ongoing shortage of pharmacists, said Tim Lee, vice president for enrollment management and marketing. This agreement further strengthens our relationship with the University at Buffalo, as the School of Dental Medicine is a top choice for our pre-dental students and we have a long-standing academic agreement with its School of Law.

The collaboration reflects our schools commitment to creating clear, supportive pipelines for students who aspire to careers in pharmacy, said Gary Pollack, Ph.D., dean of the UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. By working with Le 91心頭利嫋, we can offer their talented undergraduates access to UBs rigorous PharmD curriculum and further strengthen the health care workforce in New York State.

The program allows students to complete three years of undergraduate study at Le 91心頭利嫋 before transitioning to UB for the four-year PharmD program. Credits from the first year of pharmacy school will also apply toward completion of the Le 91心頭利嫋 bachelors degree. Each year, UB will reserve seats in the PharmD program for qualified Le 91心頭利嫋 applicants who meet defined admissions standards.

In addition, both institutions will coordinate annually to provide guidance and advising, ensuring students are supported at every stage of the transition from Le 91心頭利嫋 to UB. UB SPPS, New York States top-ranked pharmacy school and No. 19 nationally according to U.S. News & World Report, is recognized for its innovative curriculum, research excellence, and strong alumni network across the health professions. The Le 91心頭利嫋 partnership expands the schools network of academic affiliations that create early and efficient entry points into its PharmD program.
